Queen of your Home!

I am borrowing a post from http://raisinghomemakers.com/2012/queen-of-your-home/126663808239365433_3utio0cd_c/
This is a great way to think about the "job" that we don't always feel is so glamorous! I LOVE being called the Queen of my home because that's where my heart is!

Raising up a legacy of life is a calling planted in my heart by a holy God. It is my duty to pass on a mantel of nobility and grace to those who will go on after me.  I do not see this duty as frustrating, boring, or downgrading.
I pray that you hear my heart, dear homemakers. God wants us to picture ourselves as reigning queen of our homes; valiant, strong, and prevailing. We are to have dominion over our homes and govern the domestic affairs therein. Your home is the center of your life.
Please do not misunderstand me to mean you have the right to rule over your husband, but rather God has given you the awesome responsibility of mastering your home under your husband’s protection and guidance.
Home is a place of challenge, creativity, chores, and celebration. It is a birthing place where family members gather to welcome rewards from God. A haven for a mother needing rest from planting and sowing.
You rule over your kitchen making sure that the health needs of your family are met. You give thought to what you will feed them and how to make them feel special. You delegate chores and responsibilities allowing for an orderly home. You direct the daily projects and events taking place in the lives of your children.
You practice serving and helping those in need. You administrate the constant flow of activity giving your family the opportunity to learn and become successful.
Yet, there are many who are bored and unhappy in their home. They do not understand the calling placed on their lives by God. Home is the greatest sphere of influence, rest, and healing.
Without vision and understanding of the calling placed on homemakers, mothers, and wives, we will be unfulfilled and discontent finding our place of dominion somewhere other than home. When we come out from under our husband’s protection it causes a breakdown in marriage and the proper functioning of society.
We should find fulfillment in our homes; embracing the simple and noble things of life. It is not as complicated as one might think. It is a choice.
PRAYER:
Father, may we gain a clear and vivid understanding of the calling placed on our lives as wives, mothers, and homemakers. Break down strongholds that have held us captive to complaining, discontentment, and lies. Thank you for the gift of home and the privilege to direct, plan, administrate, govern, and teach those under us to love you with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. Amen.
